![]() Take the stock BOV/bypass valve off the intercooler, trace a 'gasket' onto the sheet of coke can metal. ![]() Get a coke can/VB can (for extra bogan points!), cut the top and bottom off so you have a thin 'sheet' of metal. Assuming you have taken out the resonator or you have a pod filter/CAI, the steps are: It literally takes about 15 minutes and costs about $2. I'm also not worried to try this as my current engine has 285k km's on it so I'm getting rid of it in a month, and my 2006 EJ25 turboed is currently at a performance center near me and being rebuilt to 550hp to then replace my current engine, so if I cause any problems to this one I'm not worried, I have always wanted to have the sound, but I can't find out how to do it, so if someone could help me with instructions of how to do it, that would be awesome, thanks in advance. I know people say that this is really bad for your turbo because it "Surges" the turbo, but I have done my research for myself and from what I have gathered the surge is only when someone is accelerating and they get the stututu sound, that is a surge but when it happens as you lift off the throttle it is no where as bad. I have been trying for the past two days to research and figure out how to do it, and I have tried somethings, but now I have hit a roadblock and can't figure out what else to do. I have a 2004 Forester 2.5XT and I was wanting to know if anyone can help me or point me into the direction of how to get my turbo to flutter, chatter or dose as people call it, it is known by many different names but it is when someone lifts off the throttle and you hear the stutututu. I just have a couple of questions for you all, hopefully there is someone that can help me with them, and it would be great if someone could.
